Weekly Update 4.24.24

Thanks for your prayers for this past weekend. The message on tender and hard topic: Self-Harm and Suicide, has generated much response. Some of the conversations and stories I and others of you have had, have been incredibly moving and powerful. Thanks to all of you who, prayed, hugged, and comforted those in our midst who lost someone one to suicide. I’m thankful for the way you loved and lead! You have been the hands and feet of Jesus. Keep praying for the many opportunities ahead for us!

We have 2 more weeks of the Weeds! Series. If you or someone you know is struggling in this area of self-harm or suicide, please reach out! Connect to a campus pastor, ministry leader, call your campus, check out our Resource page. There is help and hope. If you need help right now do not hesitate to call this number 988 National Suicide and Crisis Hotline. A phone call to connect you with a trained person who can help. National Crisis Text Line, 741741, for texts.

There are times we face heavy things we just can’t bear alone. A phone call or text to someone in a vulnerable moment can really be helpful. We have other resources on our App/website. We continue to pray and ask you to join us! Praying God will protect those who are vulnerable from Satan’s attacks so they can hear God’s truth over the Satan’s lies! Praying people find peace, joy, the abundant life that they seek and Jesus promises! Praying for those who have lost friends and family to suicide. Praying their broken hearts will be encouraged. Praying for NCC as a faith community and praying for others who come alongside people who are hurting and struggling! Praying the Holy Spirit will speak through them as they speak words of encouragement and truth. Would you please join me in praying for these things. We can’t ignore mental health any longer!

Look forward to seeing you this weekend!
